She/Her

Jane Johnson

LCMHC-A

As a Gen-Z therapist, I naturally connect well with clients from their late teens through their 30s and understand the unique experiences that can come with these stages of life. I bring a down-to-earth, relatable approach to therapy and believe that therapy can be both meaningful and enjoyable! Whether you’re navigating relationships, career changes, burnout, or figuring out what comes next, I’m here to meet you where you are and help you make sense of it all. While I primarily work with younger adults, I also welcome older adults who feel that my approach may be a good fit for them!

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

I aim to create a space where every client feels welcomed, accepted, and truly heard. In our sessions, we can talk, laugh, cry, reflect, challenge unhelpful patterns, and work through whatever feels most important to you. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as your authentic self and feel comfortable being exactly where you are, without judgment. Together, we’ll work at your pace to better understand yourself, navigate life’s challenges, and build meaningful skills to help you move forward! I provide individualized care using a person-centered approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we’ll work to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, build practical coping skills, and learn to make space for difficult thoughts and feelings without judgment. I also incorporate more creative and alternative approaches, such as art and somatic techniques, when appropriate and based on your needs and interests. Sessions include a combination of supportive conversation, reflection, and practical skill-building tailored to you.

FUN FACTS

I enjoy all sorts of crafts and am always willing to try something new. I love sci-fi and fantasy, the more science-y the better! I have a weakness for a good thrift store.
