She/Her

Kathy Sullivan

LCSW

I have been doing this work for over 20 years and I love it as much as I did when I started. I truly enjoy helping people get over the rough patches of their lives and finding new plateaus of joy.

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

I am a direct though empathetic clinician. I am focused on helping you identify and reach your goals utilizing small changes that build to a more fulfilling life. Each person is treated with respect, empathy, and dignity. I believe that the major source of change is a strong relationship between myself and the individuals with whom I work. I truly enjoy working with professionals who are transitioning through the stages of life — people who find themselves most connected are those who are busy and overwhelmed but still looking for that comfortable space to talk about the stuff life throws at you in your 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. I utilize cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. I work primarily with older professionals and those who are working through life transitions while working to maintain long-term recovery.

FUN FACTS

I have lived overseas. I often get to work with my son who followed me into social work. I love a good British mystery show.
