He/Him

Kyle Passmore

LMFT

I recognize the importance of a strong family system and how that can impact your life overall. Your family system can either provide a safety net and wide range of support, or it can lead to questioning yourself due to patterns of long-standing generational trauma. I am passionate about helping folks be able to engage in and build the first part — and deconstruct the second.

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

Something that many of my clients report back to me is that it always feels calm in the room. I make it a priority in my practice to always make sure that your therapeutic space feels calm and welcoming. So much of our daily lives are filled with constant racing and struggle, and my intent is that therapy can be a place to slow down, pause if needed, and see where we can make adjustments. My goal for therapy is that you feel a little more peace and confidence within — to therefore go back out into your world and steer it in the direction you want it to go. I like to collaborate with you, to work alongside you so that you can more effectively feel change within. I am not big on telling people how to live their lives, but I also am not afraid to sit with your struggles and doubts and maybe ask questions that can stir up challenging emotions within you. I care deeply about you feeling empowered to create change as needed, and I believe that you can feel that more through someone helping you see the good in you that sometimes goes unnoticed. I have worked with a wide range of clients over the years — couples who experience long-term conflict and mistrust using techniques from Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy, families navigating co-parenting, rebellious adolescents, and anxiety and depression within the family system. Some of my favorite cases are working alongside individuals who want to grow in self-confidence and worth — reinforcing boundaries, restructuring certain relationships, tackling mental health challenges like ADHD, OCD, and depression, or deconstructing negative thoughts and beliefs to discover their best selves.
