LCSW-A
My work is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, anti-ableist, and antiracist. Being a therapist and having the privilege of witnessing the people I work with grow comfortable in their own skin and move forward with greater confidence has been the culmination of my hard work. I bring warmth, curiosity, and steadiness. You don't have to filter or mask here — you get to show up as you are.
MY APPROACH TO THERAPY
I draw from EMDR for trauma processing, Internal Family Systems for exploring different parts of yourself, cognitive-behavioral work for pattern shifts, and somatic approaches for nervous system regulation. We work with what's useful in the moment — some sessions go deep, others are about catching your breath and making sense of the week. Both matter. Sessions are tailored to what actually fits for you, not a rigid method or script. My style is collaborative and attuned. I'm not here to tell you who to be. I'm here to help you feel more like yourself. I work with teens (16+), young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, identity shifts, and relationship patterns that feel stuck. Maybe you're noticing old patterns showing up, feeling caught between who you've been and who you're becoming, or carrying the quiet exhaustion of holding it together on the outside while overwhelmed inside. Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded. We slow down, explore what's weighing on you, and work through the stories shaping how you move through the world. You'll leave sessions feeling more centered, clear, and connected to yourself. I work especially well with neurodivergent clients, LGBTQIA+ folks, and anyone navigating identity, transitions, or relational patterns.
FUN FACTS
I have two dogs, Opie and Harley, who are excellent at emotional support and terrible at personal space. I went to a tiny college in the NC mountains for undergrad and somehow ended up right back in the NC mountains. Make of that what you will. My love language is a really good local coffee shop and I take recommendations very seriously
