Loui Lindsay

LCMHC-A

I am an East Coast native with a deep-rooted passion for adventure, healing, and the transformative power of nature — both land and water. My clinical approach is rooted in kindness, curiosity, and affirmation, blending gentle guidance with the profound healing potential of the natural world and your inner world. Every step of my journey to be here with you has been intentional, shaped by a deep respect for both human experience and the landscapes that support growth and transformation.

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

My ideal client is an LGBTQIA+ individual facing challenges related to their lived experience. They may struggle with anxiety and depression due to stigma, discrimination, or internal conflicts; adjustment and identity exploration while navigating coming out, self-discovery, or transitioning; or external stressors such as rejection, workplace or school challenges, or social isolation. I am a compassionate, affirming, and knowledgeable professional who can provide guidance, validation, and evidence-based support in navigating mental health and identity-related concerns. My counseling approach integrates adventure-based techniques when appropriate, offering dynamic and experiential methods to address and treat client concerns. Once we meet and I start getting to know you, I'll dig into my repertoire of approaches to see which one may suit your needs best. I love working with Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and a person-centered approach while sprinkling in mindfulness where it is meaningful and received. Want to take a walk while we talk? Let's go!

FUN FACTS

My internship was with SUWS in Pisgah National Forest. I love the outdoors and exploring anytime.
