I will be the first to tell you that I don't know everything, and I certainly wouldn't dare to undermine your lived experiences by pretending that I know your story better than you. I can, however, offer you the version of me that will listen to you from a place of curiosity and genuine compassion. The curiosity piece is where I shine the most. I love to learn new ways to support my clients. So, while I may not automatically have insight into the whys or hows of your experience, I often can find some book, research paper, or TikTok video that can shed some light on your experiences and best practices for getting you relief.

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

Life is utterly exhausting — full stop. In turn, we are typically left asking ourselves how we got here. This is where I come in. Often, our actions — whether they serve us well or were developed out of necessity and survival — can feel confusing when we lose sight of their origins. My role is to support you in reconnecting these behaviors to the history they stem from, so you can better understand yourself. Or, if you are well aware of how the dots of your story connect, our work will center around getting you out of those destructive cycles and moving in the direction where you start creating the life you have envisioned for yourself — the life you deserve. Above all else, I know what it's like to want better for yourself and at the same time feel stuck in a cycle that feels like you're powerless to change. It's lonely and miserable. But I also know what it's like to finally say enough is enough and make the uncomfortable decisions to create the life you want. It is by no means easy, and it's not a straight line to prosperity — but it's possible with the right support system. I would be honored to be a part of your team. I work with all ages, but I specialize in supporting young adults and millennials who want to break away from people-pleasing, are navigating grief and loss, experience emotional disconnection, struggle with self-esteem and identity, and experience race-based trauma or microaggressions. In our sessions, we'll draw on CBT, IFS, motivational interviewing, and emotion-focused therapy.

FUN FACTS

I'm a research nerd — I love falling down a therapy modality rabbit hole. I want to be trained as a pilates instructor to help integrate body and mind work. I was married in Italy.
